ControlLogix Redundancy Module:
The 1757-SRM is a module used to provide redundancy in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and ProcessLogix systems. This means that it helps create a backup system to keep critical processes running even if the primary controller fails.
Function:
Its primary function is to maintain communication and synchronization between the primary and secondary controllers. This ensures that the secondary controller has an up-to-date copy of the primary controller’s data.
It helps in “cross loading”, i.e. transferring any changes that occur in the primary controller to the secondary controller.

Important Notes:
This model is considered an older generation redundancy module. Newer systems typically use the 1756-RM or 1756-RM2.
